Bitten By The Bug 2 Challenge - Ric Rac

OMG I am getting addicted to challenges!!! Here's another one! The challenge was to use the Ric Rac cut from Plantin Schoolbook. Again, I used some of my bargain papers (must go boot fairing this sunday to find more!). I stretched the Ric Rac in DS and positioned the paper so the cut would be over the descending flowers. I then stuck with foam pads over the top like decoupage to give a 3D effect.
It was hard to show the detail in the pictures but hopefully you can see.

Fantabulous Cricut challenge

The theme for this challenge is 'Water' and this is what I have come up with from the New Arrival Cartridge. I'm hoping the background paper looks like a shower curtain. There's nothing like taking a bath with your rubber ducky!

Flower Power Challenge Card

On the Cuttlebug blog, the challenge for April is 'Flower Power'. I picked up a huge amount of papers at a local boot fair on Sunday for £4!!! and decided to see what I could do.
I used Pink Journey for the flower, and embossed the petals in red with swiss dots. I used the 'With love' embossing folder for the text.

The Pink Stamper Challenge Card

My husband wanted me to use the image at the top of my blog for inspiration for the challenge as I was a bit stuck for ideas! The brief was for the card to be pink, black and green.

I used Love Struck for the heart, Pink Journey for the green swirls (played around in DS) and the 'Love' text (embossed with swiss dots), all on black card.

Thanks for looking!

Night Time Arrival

My friend is overdue at the moment, and due to have a boy so thought I'd get started on her card so it's ready for the new arrival. I wanted to try and capture the stork delivering the baby and this is what I've come up with. By co-incidence, the Bitten by the bug challenge this week is the delivery cut, so here it is!
I've used New Arrival for the stork, baby, text and moon. Plantin schoolbook for the scenery and a gelly roll pen for the glistening lights. The star is from Accent Essentials. I used peel offs around the side of the star and along the embossed lines of the blanket (candy cane folder. I've lightly chalked the babies features. I did want to chalk in some clouds but I'm still a beginner when it comes to using chalk!
